Medigus' technology platform includes several core technologies that are outlined in the following section.
Miniature visualization systems: Among the pinnacles of the company's technology are its miniature camera systems for endoscopy which are used for visualizing hard-to-access areas of the human body. The company has a 3mm color CCD video camera and a new 1.8mm video camera, which is the smallest high-performance CCD camera in the world.
Medigus has gained vast experience in the field of miniature video cameras for endoscopy and invested heavily in state of the art equipment for supporting the entire pro cess of assembling and testing of the camera optics. The company al so developed special patented techniques for miniaturization and assembly of the camera head and lenses. All cameras and optics are assembled at the company's premises, in clean rooms that were designed exclusively for this purpose.
Proprietary vertebrae systems for flexible tips of endoscopes: Medigus developed various proprietary vertebrae systems including miniature vertebrae systems for semi-flexible (rigid scope with flexible tip) and flexible scopes.
Staplers for endoscopes and ultrasound for positioning: Medigus developed unique staplers for flexible endoscopes which can be used for various endoscopy procedures, for example in the GI tract. The staplers can be used in combination wi th a miniature ultrasound positioning system that the company developed to ensure accurate alignment of the cartridge and anvil of the stapler.
Prototype endoscopes: Medigus has developed a number of prototype endoscopes that are suitable for performing various procedures. These include for example, a 3mm micro-flexible endoscope and a semi-flexible endoscope measuring only 3.3mm. The design of the semi-flexible device is based on a unique proprietary vertebrae system, which allows complete control over bending of the distal tip, including full retroflection up to 270 degrees, using a simple control lever located on the handle of the device.
