Medigus is now preparing to conduct additional human trials in light of the results of its first human trials in Australia.
In a report published by Prof. Watson (Flinders Medical Center, Australia) who conducted the trials, Prof. Watson stated that it is feasible to perform Fundoplication using Medigus' SRS system. In addition, Prof. Watson stated that when the stapling of the tissue is performed in a suitable position, the potential clinical results of the SRS procedure are excellent, with better short term outcome than would be expected following a standard laparoscopic Fundoplication.
